Evolution Planning has gained planning consent for eight houses on a site in Campsea Ashe, East Suffolk. The Site was a complex one and controversial locally, as village developments often are.

The site leant itself well to residential development being located close to a railway station, and other facilities.

There was a range of issues that needed to be addressed to ensure a successful outcome, including highways, drainage, flood risk, ecology, and heritage. The site was also close to Grade II and Grade II* Listed Buildings so great care was taken in pre-application discussions to involve Council Heritage Officers. Detailed negotiations were required in terms of design to ensure that the scheme was supported by Officers.

Due to local objections, the application was taken to Planning Committee.  However, the quality of the overall scheme meant the application was approved by Committee Members and the decision notice approving the development was received shortly thereafter.

Our client is delighted with the outcome and work has begun on discharging the various planning conditions.
