Getting Ready for Harvest!
February 12, 2026
Evolution Town Planning regularly works with farmers and rural estates to secure planning permission for the buildings and infrastructure needed to support their agricultural businesses. We recently obtained permission for the Rougham Estate to construct a new, modern grain store and dryer building, along with a machinery store and workshop, in a central location within their landholding and with convenient access to the A14.
Construction of the new 22,150‑square‑foot grain store and dryer, and the 14,950‑square‑foot machinery store and workshop, is now nearing completion, allowing the buildings to be brought into use before harvest. The project has progressed smoothly, with planning secured without delays or compromise.
Although the buildings are located in an area the local planning authority considered visually sensitive—and reach heights of over 17 metres—Evolution Town Planning successfully obtained the necessary approvals. We also arranged for design changes to be approved during construction, ensuring the project continued without interruption.
If you are considering applying for new agricultural buildings, Evolution Town Planning has the experience and expertise to secure planning permission for your project.
