Bowls Club Housing

Consent for eight homes and new facilities at a Bowls Club on the Suffolk Coast has been achieved by Evolution Town Planning.
The site comprised an underused bowls club with dated facilities. Our Client, a local Housebuilder, partnered with the Bowls Club to re-develop excess ground at the club. This provided funds for a new bowling green and improvements to an indoor bowls building.
Developing on any established local sports ground can be emotive and careful consultation was carried out with the Parish Council and Local Councillors, as well as the Local Planning Authority.
A well prepared case helped to ensure that there were no significant local objections. The application progressed smoothly through the planning system and was approved.
