Evolution Town Planning has worked with the owners of the Grade II* Listed property; The Old Rectory in Drinkstone, to successfully achieve Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent for a large extension; outbuilding to house; swimming pool and gym; and a cartlodge.

A Grade II* Listed Building is of particular heritage importance and accounts for only the top 5.8% of listed buildings. Proactive discussions were undertaken with the Planning Authority at an early stage and the proposals were discussed with Historic England before the submission of the planning application and listed building consent which paved the way for the success of the application. The permission represents a significant change to the building which will provide the owners with a light and airy open-plan kitchen and dining room. The permission also granted consent for an outbuilding with a 15-metre indoor pool; gym and changing rooms; and a separate cartlodge.

On this project, we worked with Soup Architects who are a highly regarded architectural practice. We are delighted to have been able to successfully realise this family’s dream and obtain consent which will allow the adaptation of their historic home to meet their family’s needs.
