Instructed by the Trustees of the Vernon Wentworth Estate we have provided planning advice on their large land holding around Barnsley. Our advice on the development potential of land has helped the Trustees decide whether to sell or retain land.

Our advice on the strategic promotion of land is increasing the development potential of their assets. Our representations on the Councils Core Strategy lead to a towns position in the settlement hierarchy being changed during the Examination into the document. This change increased the development potential of our clients land around the town. As a direct result of this change to the settlement hierarchy our clients land has draft housing and employment allocations of several hectares in size.

The success at the Examination into the Core Strategy was the result of a careful study of the characteristics of the settlements in the hierarchy and the development needs of the Borough, combined with an understanding of the process and the rules on the examination of Development Plans.
