Local Plans
The lead up to Christmas was a very busy time with Local Plan work. We have been heavily involved in the preparation of the Mid Suffolk Local Plan. We have worked on sites that are included as draft allocations which can deliver almost 600 homes in total. We have a very good success rate in gaining Local Plan allocations on sites that we consider are suitable for allocations. As a result of Government encouragement, Councils are getting better at keeping their Local Plans up to date. This has resulted in the opportunities for gaining Local Plan allocations coming around more quickly. We are always happy to advise clients on Local Plan work. It is important to assess the opportunities and planning strategy at an early stage and to be prepared for the consultation.
