Breckland Retail Park

We are delighted to have been involved in obtaining planning consent for the Breckland Retail Park which opened on Friday 19th July. The Retail Park is a major new shopping destination in Thetford and regenerated a long redundant factory site on the London Road. We gained the principal planning consent in 2018. We have also worked on six other planning applications for issues such as the demolition of the former buildings on the site. the removal of TPO trees, adverts and applications to deal with design changes and tenant’s requirements. We are pleased that the project has received support from officers and members in Breckland as well as Thetford Town Council.
The 19th July saw the opening of a large B&M store with a garden centre and a Greggs. A Home Bargains store is due to open soon. We are proud that the development has created 130 new jobs so far in a very tough retail climate. With three more stores to open it is hoped that the Retail Park will eventually provide around 200 new jobs.
